Central liquid chillers are designed to circulate a fluid medium (typically water, or a water-gylcol solutions) through a process application for COOLING to temperatures between 20° to 70°F.

Generally, central chillers are offered in capacities from 5 to 200 tons and service multiple process process cooling points.

Package units are self-contained units using a refrigerant system to chill water to setpoint and a distribution system with an internal reservoir.

Modules are units with single or multiple refirgerant zones and the required control instrumentation, Modules require the use of a distribution system. Modules are perfect to expand the capacity of an existing system

Since central chillers use refrigeration as the cooling means, a method to dissipate the heat acquired from process is needed. Thus, central liquid chillers are available with AIR-COOLED or WATER-COOLED condensers. Choosing a air-cooled or water-cooled unit depends plant environment conditions.
